The asbestos disease of awareness Organization (ADAO), the largest national organization representing asbestos victims, hosts the 7th annual asbestos awareness Conference, asbestos: impact on the public Heath, environment and economy, April 1-3, 2011, at the Atlanta Georgia Marriott Buckhead, hotel & Conference Center.
This International Conference draws progress, environmental and economic impact, national and global policy experts from around the world, at work and not professional exposure to discuss problems, detection and treatment. Participants learn about the most advanced medical, occupational and environmental information about asbestos prevention and asbestos-related disease prevention and treatment.
Asbestos is a toxic mineral widely used in construction and industry renowned, deadly diseases such as asbestosis, lung cancer and mesothelioma, cause a rare cancer of the protective lining of the large cavity and organs of the body. People are exposed to asbestos in General, by inhaling toxic fibers released by asbestos-containing materials such as insulation or pipe lagging. These fibres lodge in the lung and damage over decades, finally leading to the development of mesothelioma. The most common type is followed by peritoneal mesothelioma affecting the lining of the chest pleural mesothelioma which the lining of the lungs are affected.
The asbestos awareness Conference recognizes those who have shown exceptional service to the asbestos of awareness and that unity and memory brunch to honor and remember me love who have passed away from asbestos-related diseases.
